Measure each top run
Measure finished countertop length in inches. Label each run if the project has multiple pieces or an L-shape.
Custom countertop measuring guide
Use this guide before starting the countertop and surface builder or sending details for quote review. Clear measurements, templates, photos, and project ZIP help LuxaBath confirm length, depth, sink or fixture cutouts, faucet holes, splashes, edge details, Corian availability, service area, and freight before production.
Measure the finished countertop run
A custom countertop should be reviewed from finished dimensions, sink and fixture needs, edge details, splash plan, and wall or cabinet conditions. Measure the actual top area instead of relying only on cabinet labels.
If the project has shop drawings, send them with sink or appliance templates and project ZIP. If you are measuring in the room, write dimensions in inches and label the wall side, front edge, sink centerline, and any special cutouts.
Core details
Length, depth, sink cutout type, sink placement, faucet holes, splashes, exposed edges, project ZIP, and project notes drive the countertop review. Add drawings or templates when cutouts, service area, freight, or seams need confirmation.
Step by step
Measure finished countertop length in inches. Label each run if the project has multiple pieces or an L-shape.
Measure from the wall or back edge to the finished front edge. Note overhangs, appliance sides, and exposed ends.
Measure cutout centerlines or opening locations from clear reference edges, and label the cutout type.
Record faucet hole count, spacing, soap dispenser holes, filtered water holes, or other fixture openings.
Call out exposed edges, backsplash, side splash, return splash, edge profile, and any wall conditions that matter.
Send sink, cooktop, appliance, or fixture templates, drawings, and project ZIP when cutouts need LuxaBath review before production.
Before you build
Bring this list into the builder for a smoother estimate and cleaner LuxaBath review.
Good measuring habits
Ready to configure
Enter dimensions, sink cutouts, faucet holes, splashes, edge details, color direction, project ZIP, and notes for a working estimate, or send plans and photos when the project needs review first.
Questions
Measure the finished top area and cabinet/wall conditions. Existing tops can help, but note overhangs, appliance sides, and any changes planned before production.
Measure cutout centerlines or opening locations from fixed reference edges and label which edge each number uses.
Templates are very helpful for sink, cooktop, fixture, and custom openings. Send them with drawings or photos when available.
Large or multi-piece countertops can be reviewed with project ZIP, service area, pickup, local delivery, crating, or nationwide freight before production.
